Co-op Local Causes

Hornsea Carnival has been chosen to be a Co-op Local Cause for this year. If you are a Co-op Member, you can support Hornsea Carnival by logging on to

and selecting Hornsea Carnival as the local cause that you would like to support. If you are not a member, why not sign up and you can then support the carnival when you do your shopping.

This year's bonfire and fireworks display will be on Saturday 2nd November at Hornsea Freeport. Food traders etc will be open from 6pm and the bonfire will be lit at approximately 7pm. The fireworks will start at about 7.15pm. Times are approximate and are dependent on the weather. Any changes will be announced on social media.

Admission is free, but there will be a bucket collection to help the Carnival Committee pay for the fireworks display and to hopefully raise money towards next year's carnival. A £1 donation per person would be gratefully received.

Getting involved

If you want to be involved in this year's carnival, look at the "Getting Involved" section. Bookings are no longer being taken for traders in the park this year. However, the Hornsea Carnival Committee is always needing helpers over the weekend to man the road blocks for the parade, help with setting up for carnival and clearing away afterwards. During the weekend there is always a need for volunteers to empty the rubbish bins or walking round with a collecting bucket. If you want to help out, you can email the committee at hornseacarnival@gmail.com or you can become a "Friend of Hornsea Carnival" by submitting the application form opposite.

Trading at Hornsea Carnival

Bookings for Hornsea Carnival 2019 have now closed due to restrictions placed on Hornsea Carnival by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

If you want to enquire about trading in 2020, please email hornseacarnival@gmail.com, or use the enquiry form on the Contact page.

Become a Friend of Hornsea Carnival

Hornsea Carnival Committee are always in need of people to help out at carnival or with the fundraising they have to do to raise the money to put on the carnival; such as Bonfire Night, Christmas Lights Night or escorting Santa and Rudolph over 6 evenings in December. If you would like to help out, but do not want to be on the Committee, you could become a Friend of Hornsea Carnival. As a Friend of Hornsea Carnival, we will keep you informed about what is going on and you can volunteer to be involved in as much or a little as you wish. Just complete and return the e-Form below.
